Meet our pastor

Roger Hoffpowier was born in Tyler, TX, and grew up at Glad Tidings Assembly of God.  He dedicated his life to God at age 16 and accepted the call to the ministry one year later.  While attending Southwestern Assemblies of God University, he married Ginger on July 29, 1967.

They have served as pastors at Red Oak Flat Assembly of God, Troup, TX, Masters Drive Assembly of God, Dallas, TX, and First Assembly of God, Gilmer TX.  On December 4, 1973, they accepted the call to be pastors here at Trinity Assembly of God.  They have continued to serve this congregation for 50 years.

Bro. Hoffpowier was ordained on June 4, 1971, at the North Texas District Council in Ft. Worth, TX, and has served the North Texas District in several capacities:  

​

• Seven years as Longview Section Youth Director

• Eighteen years as a Sectional Committeeman

• Twenty years as Presbyter of the Longview Section

• Eight years as Executive Presbyter At Large for the North Texas District

• Presently serving as the NTD Regional Executive Presbyter for the North East Region

Roger and Ginger have three daughters:

​

Rachael and David Coe live in Winnsboro, TX, and have two children.  They are active members of Trinity Assembly of God.

Stephanie and Rev. Kyle Miller live in Washington, NC, and have three children.  They are the Senior Pastors at Washington Assembly of God.  

​

Jennifer Hoffpowier lives in Kilgore, TX.  She is an active member of Trinity Assembly of God.

​

The grandchildren and light of our lives:  Madisyn Miller, Taylor Miller, Jordan Coe, Jonah Coe and Brittyn Miller.

​
